Beyond Connection, from Next Level Labs LLC

Beyond Connection is an app for families of young children who are learning to communicate. We built it so that your family's information stays with your family. This policy explains what the app stores and where.

The short version

• Everything you and your child enter stays on your device.
• We do not run servers that receive your child's information, and we do not sell or share personal information.
• There are no ads, no third-party analytics, and no tracking across apps or websites.
• Microphone recordings are optional. They stay on the device and are deleted right after they're played back. They are never uploaded.
• The camera mirror is optional and off by default. It runs live on the device. Nothing is recorded, saved or uploaded.
• The parts of the app meant for grown-ups, and anything to do with purchases, sit behind a parental gate.

Information stored on your device

The app stores the following on your device only:

• Child profile. This is your child's first name or nickname, age range and chosen character. It also includes the family members you add and the names your child uses for them.
• Your answers to the setup questions. These cover communication, speech needs, goals, favourite topics and sensory notes. They are used only to personalise suggestions. They are not a diagnosis.
• Progress in kid mode. This means stickers, words practised, days played and Ollie's friendship heart.
• Settings. These are sound, motion and contrast choices, and whether the camera mirror is on.
• Account information. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple gives the app an anonymous user identifier. It may also give us the name and email you choose to share. These are stored in your device's secure Keychain and are not sent to us. If you enter an email instead, it is saved on the device only.

Deleting the app removes this information from your device. You can also remove your child's profile from Settings.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect or receive:

• your child's voice
• your child's image
• your child's location
• contacts
• device identifiers for advertising
• browsing history
• usage analytics

Purchases

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store and processed by Apple. To check whether a subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts from Apple. It does not receive your child's profile, answers or progress. Apple's and RevenueCat's own privacy policies apply to that processing. We never see your payment details.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Beyond Connection is designed for children under 13 to use with a parent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Information about a child is entered by a parent and stays on the device. Purchases, links outside the app and grown-up settings require a parental gate.

If you believe information about your child has reached us, contact us at nextlevellabs@outlook.com and we will delete it.

Microphone and camera

• Microphone. This is used only when your child taps "Record me", so they can hear their own try. The recording is kept in temporary storage, played back, and then deleted. It is never uploaded, scored or shared.
• Camera. This is used only for the optional Mouth Gym mirror, after a parent turns it on in Settings. Video frames are analysed on the device to place a fun hat or mask, and then discarded. Nothing is recorded or saved.

You can turn either permission off at any time in iOS Settings.

Security

The information stays on your device and is protected by iOS security. Account details are stored in the Keychain. Please use a device passcode.

Your choices and rights

You can view, change or delete your information in the app at any time, or delete the app. Because we don't hold your information on our servers, there is nothing for us to export or delete on our side, apart from any email you send us.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and show a notice in the app. If we ever plan to collect information off the device, we will ask a parent first.
